Nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose it. Earlier versions are kept, so you can look back and go back to one.
Step by step
Start a document
Pick a template from one of six groups, or start with a blank page.
Write and edit
Change how text looks, add headings and tables, and use find and replace.
Keep earlier versions
Open the version list, look at an earlier one, and go back if you want.
Download or keep a copy
Download as Word, PDF, or other types. If you connect Google, Docs can keep a copy in your Google Drive.

Which kinds of file can I download?
Word, PDF, web page, Markdown, and plain text.
Can I bring in a document I already have?
Yes. You can bring in web page and Markdown files and keep working on them.
Can I use it today?
Not yet. The app is built and in testing, and it has not been released.
